Products

We're not building gear for three separate markets. We're building a complete ecosystem for one community.

Our customer's life isn't one-dimensional. The same person who spends Saturday in the backcountry (Snowmobile) spends their weekdays on the job site (Workwear) and their evenings at the local diner (Lifestyle).

Our gear is designed to be authentic in all three of these worlds. It’s a focused system where each piece is built with the same core philosophy, and the lessons learned from one category make the others stronger.

It Starts With the Right Ingredients

Our core philosophy is simple: it’s about function, not fashion.

It starts with the right ingredients. We're not cutting corners. We know which fabrics can handle a close encounter with a tree, and which ones can't. We know which zippers won't freeze up when it's thirty below, and which ones will leave you cursing in the backcountry.

If it doesn't serve a purpose or if it's not tough enough, it does not go into our gear.

Our Three Worlds

This philosophy is the common thread that runs through our three product categories.

Snowmobile

This is where we come from. We grew up in the backcountry. We're not building gear for groomed tracks and finish lines, we're building it for the demanding rider who values reliability over hype. The guys and girls who explore, who get stuck, who spend hours digging, and who need gear that simply works, day in and day out.

Workwear

When we're not on the sled, we're working. Fixing the house, wrenching in the garage, helping a neighbor. We, and basically everyone we know, live in some kind of workwear. So for us, it's about making honest, durable clothes for the people we see every day. Clothes that can take a beating and are comfortable enough to wear from sunup to sundown.

Lifestyle

It's simple. It’s the comfortable stuff you wear in between. The flannel you have on at the local diner, the hoodie you pull on after a long day. No fuss, just well-made stuff that feels good and lasts longer than one season.

How It All Hangs Together

This isn't a random collection of products. It's a system where each part informs the next. This is our smart-design advantage.

  • Our Backcountry gear teaches us everything about ultimate durability and waterproofing. We take that technical, no-failure-allowed mindset and build it directly into our Workwear.

  • Our Workwear philosophy—focused on function and toughness—informs how we build our Lifestyle pieces. You'll find our flannels are built tougher and our jackets last longer than the fashion brands.

  • Our Lifestyle gear—the beanies, tees, and layering pieces—are the perfect complement to a day in the garage or as a critical next-to-skin layer under your monosuit.

This cycle allows us to serve our community year-round.

The Short Q&A

  • Why not just focus on one thing? Because our customer's life isn't one-dimensional. By focusing on all three categories, we can build a more resilient, year-round business. This stability means we're not forced to cut corners on quality just to survive one bad winter.

  • Where are your products designed? Every single piece is designed from the ground up by us, right here in our 100-year-old barn. We're not just picking a product from a catalog and putting our logo on it.

  • What's the Mountain Grit quality standard? It's simple: We stand behind what we make. It’s about building honest, purpose-built gear that lasts.

  • How will this gear be sold? While our main focus is Direct-to-Community, we will also partner with dealers. We're just doing it differently. We're not using a traditional, pushy sales team. Our retail partners can order directly from our site, buying only what they actually need. This means no one gets stuck with inventory they can't sell, and we can all focus on what matters: great gear and a healthy community.
